Castin’ the Pods of Justice

April 28th, 2008 by Tuffy

My blogging vacation continues with an appearance on Treehouse Fort tonight, talking NBA playoffs and NFL draft.  I should rest this often when I’m dead, I tell you…

Cheez Doodle Dust and Chattering Classes

April 28th, 2008 by Tuffy

From Adrian Wojnarowski’s column at Yahoo! Sports:

Whatever (Josh) Howard’s take (on marijuana use in the NBA), he didn’t need to breathe life into a week-old newspaper story that no one noticed by volunteering to on the radio and make matters worse within hours of Game 3. Of course, one of ESPN’s NBA house organs was calling the game, chastising Howard for dragging other NBA players into the story.

Quite frankly, I love what he’s done here.

(Okay, mostly taking two days off.  Mostly.)

Dos Brookies

April 25th, 2008 by Tuffy

The Last Two Days of Tuffy History:

Tonight, the Treehouse Fort gets all NFL Drafty. Bring duct tape.

Also, I’m really looking forward to the Ladies… coming by SPORTSbyBROOKS for the NFL Draft all weekend. Their liveblog ought to be event Internet. I’ll check in all weekend on them.

I’m also running a liveblog Sunday at SPORTSbyBROOKS: Angels vs. Tigers, 8 pm ET. You know what happened the last time the Christians and the Tigers tangled…

After that, I’m taking a couple days off the grid to recharge and make bail. So come by Sunday if you are into hot Tilde action. Otherwise, see you next week!

(Update: Liveblog canceled. Naptime approved. See you at the draft!)

(Update 2: I forgot that I wrote a piece of this article.  Really, that’s not a good sign.)

Two Days in the Tuffy History:

Tonight, I’m trying new liveblog software at SportsbyBrooks. It should make it easier to chat during the Yankees-White Sox tilt tonight. Or be a disaster so epic that Gene Hackman will have to save us. So stop by, eh?  8:11 pm ET first pitch; game’s on ESPN.

Monday’s Treehouse Fort seems to have archived, so please enjoy a series of flights of fancy.

Their Prowess is Potent

Best of luck today to the marathoners in Boston.  Try to avoid turning an ankle on a passed-out patriot beneath you on the route.  Between yesterday’s holiday and today’s, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a mobile college student in Boston by this evening

Christmas Ape (Michael Tunison) on Treehouse Fort

April 18th, 2008 by Tuffy

Tonight, we’re blowing the doors out on an expanded 90-minute Treehouse Fort. Matt Sussman and I speak to Michael Tunison from Kissing Suzy Kolber, now famously formerly of the Washington Post. We’ll talk about the events of the past week, his plans for the future, and favorite excrement jokes.

Also, Goathair from The Blowtorch will break down the NBA playoffs for us, new school. I will fondly reminisce about George Mikan.

Finally, we bus’ some fools up with Charlie Doherty in his ribald “What Were They Thinking?” segment. Bring the kids!
